FastTrack

FastTrack is an exclusive two-semester student program that includes individual coaching and a comprehensive series of practical workshops to help turn ideas into businesses. Students do not need to have an existing business idea to participate. FastTrack is seeking participants with an entrepreneurial mindset who are willing to make a commitment of their time and energy to launch a business by the end of the program.

WORKSHOP DETAILS

SESSIOn 1: Problem Framing, VISION AND GOALS

October 2017

Figure out where you’re going and how you plan to get there. Define a vision statement for your new company and set goals necessary to achieve that vision. Leave this workshop with a clear vision for the next 12 months and a list of milestones you intend to hit.


KICKOFF DINNER & MENTOR MATCHING

October 2017

Program kickoff includes dinner with the mentors of the Dale Tweedy Mentorship Program. Students have the opportunity to network with the mentors, and each other, while we set expectations for the coming year.


session 2: market research and competition

November 2017

Know what you’re getting into. Understand where your industry is going and how you plan to differentiate your business from your competitors.  Leave this workshop with a clear definition of your company’s value proposition.


Session 3: ideal customer engagement

November 2017

There is no substitute for talking to your customers and confirming that they are willing to trade their dollars for your product or service.  Define your ideal customer and leave this workshop with a plan to find them and engage them.


Session 4: preparing the pitch

February 2018

Convince investors to invest, customers to buy, and partners to get on board.  Every entrepreneur needs to tell their story and compel their audience to take action. Leave this workshop with a strong pitch and the confidence to deliver it.


Session 5: teambuilding and organizational development

February 2018

A strong team and a capable network of advisors is critical. Identify the strengths on the team and plan to extend your network to fill in the blanks. Leave this workshop with a communication plan to keep the extended team healthy and strong.


session 6: sales, marketing, and branding

March 2018

“Build it and they will come” only works in the movies. Go out and find your customers and help them realize they need you. Leave this workshop with a marketing plan and a sales strategy to drive revenue and reinforce your brand.


session 7: operations and scale

April 2018

Be careful what you wish for. When all of your marketing and sales efforts begin to pay off, have a plan to ramp your business and enable it to scale. Leave this workshop with a plan to meet today’s demand efficiently and be prepared for future growth.


Session 8: Graduation

May 2018

Congratulations for completing the FastTrack program! Take one day to celebrate and then back to work.
